Julie L. Nemeth, Ph.D.
I offer online psychotherapy to teens and adults eager to grow and reach their full potential. I have worked successfully with clients throughout the lifespan, addressing the challenges of each stage of life - becoming independent, choosing a career, building and ending relationships, pregnancy, parenting, and aging. I help my clients address the painful experiences of depression, anxiety, grief and loss, infertility, caring for a sick or aging loved one, trauma, and body image/disordered eating.
Although I draw from an array of theoretical influences, my work is grounded in psychodynamic thought. I focus on building a collaborative and trusting relationship with my clients. To build a foundation of trust, I offer a balance of support with progressive personal challenge. I help my clients challenge themselves to make desired changes and provide support so that they can build resiliency through the process and overcome entrenched negative patterns.
My clients can be comforted by my fundamental belief that even though therapy may be difficult, it can lead to relief and ultimately long-lasting positive change.
